Balduin Pfeffer aka Balduin Mund*
Balduin worked in the film industry for two years after school, then started studying theatre, film and media science as well as philosophy. Then he studied at the Offenbach school of art in the film class with Rotraut Pape, Angelika Levi and Marie-Hélène Gutberlet. In 2025 he graduated with the film Wurmloch and theory thesis “Kafka im Film” under Juliane Rebentisch.
He believes that art is closely interwoven with its working conditions and that these must be worked on with the same attention as the artwork. Working in shared authorship and collaborations is central to him. He is interested in questioning the various visual, sound and linguistic spaces and balancing them differently.
In october 2025 Balduin startet to work for Grandfilm/absolutMedien at Kinobilder.
*At the age of two, Balduins parents married. In order not to be discriminated against as a “bastard”, he was simply given a new birth certificate. Today he uses both names matching his two birth certificates and staying with the confusion.
